Gemma Carter died on 8th June 1999 aged 13 years. Gemma lived with mum Sharon, brother Michael ,cousin Robert and her Nanna. Gemma was on a school trip to France when she tragically drowned. Gemma was a kind and generous person always laughing and singing round the house. (Bless her,she couldn't sing a note). 'mum' she would say ' i am going to be Celine Dion on Stars in their Eyes,' with her constant practising and determination she probarbly would have made it in the end. Gemma was so like me in many ways, always wanting to please and trying to find the best in everyone who she met. Gemma wasn't a selfish girl, she wanted to be a vet from being about 6,always watching vet programmes and knowing that was the path she wanted to go down. Gemma's death has left a massive void in my family's life, there is never a day goes by when i dont think of her, even if it's not when I wake, her loss hits me like a knife at some point. I often wonder what she would be doing now, boyfriend, married, even children. My heart aches for those things you wish for your child, I saw one of her friends with her boyfriend and it hurt so much my eyes clouded with tears wishing Gemma had had that chance. Most of all I miss her infectous laugh. She wasn't afraid to laugh out loud, and when you did, Gemma ,everyone laughed with you. I hope you make them laugh in heaven darling,I will miss you forever. No matter how I carry on with my life I know a part of me died with you. I will treasure you my beatiful child till the end. Love you now and always your heartbroken Mum xxxx P.s I would just like to say that the music playing on this site was the music played at her funeral of her beloved Peter Andre.

hi there carter family i am robert chapman i was a very close friend of gemma's when eather me or gemma needed help we us to help one and other at cockburn high school i was there when her tragical lose lose anownsed when i eared what happend i broke down in tears for your lose i did wont to come and say something to you at the time but because you was going on live tv h.md the geography classroom i didn't get the chance so if its ok with you i would like to say gemma was great las and was always happy i always have and always will sadly miss her R.I.P gemma ann carter you will never be forgotten on my behalf x

There is a beautiful place called Heaven
Where all our angels stay
Heaven has a lovely garden
Where red roses grow everyday
Heaven's gate is made of gold
Heaven is made full of love so I have been told
For a little angel from up above
Came to me in my dreams and blew me lots of love
The angel in my dreams said to me...
This kiss I give you is from your angel in heaven you see
The angel said my loved one could not come to me
For my loved one is resting in Heaven and pain free
The angel also told me..
They have music up in Heaven above
The Cherubs are playing on their harps
And their music is made with love
The angel said Heaven has soft fluffy clouds..
